Teed Up Events Ltd ("Teed Up", "we") hires out pop up golf simulators for events. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what your rights are. We keep it plain because that's how we'd want it explained to us.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you enquire, book or talk to us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, event date, venue and anything else you tell us about your event. This comes in through our website form, LinkedIn lead forms, email, phone, and social media messages.

Information collected automatically. Our website uses Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. These set cookies and collect things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are, your device and browser, and how you found us. None of it identifies you by name to us.

People we contact first. Part of how we find work is getting in touch with businesses that might want a golf simulator at an event. To do that we use business contact details (name, job title, work email, work phone, company) from publicly available sources such as LinkedIn and company websites, and from business data providers such as Apollo.io. We only use work contact details, and we only contact people whose role suggests they might book an event. If you'd rather not hear from us, reply to any message or email joel@teedupltd.co.uk and we'll remove you straight away.

Photos and video at events. We may take photos and video at events we deliver, for our own marketing. Our booking terms cover this with the client who books us. If you're a guest at an event and would rather not appear, tell us on the day and we'll leave you out.

Why we use it, and the legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry and send a quote. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract.
  • To deliver a booked event. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
  • Invoicing, accounts and records. Legal basis: legal obligation (we have to keep financial records).
  • Contacting businesses about what we do, and keeping in touch with business contacts. Legal basis: legitimate interest. You can opt out at any time by replying or emailing us, and we'll stop.
  • Understanding how our website is used. Legal basis: consent, through your cookie settings.

We don't use your information for automated decision-making, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

Only the services we use to run the business. Each is bound by its own data protection terms:

  • Netlify (hosts our website and handles the contact form)
  • Microsoft 365 (email and documents)
  • Google (Analytics and Business Profile)
  • LinkedIn (lead forms and website analytics)
  • Apollo.io (business contact data and our contact records)
  • Our accountant and insurer, where needed for a booking

Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy decisions.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't turn into a booking: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Bookings and related records: 6 years after the event, for tax and accounting.
  • Marketing contacts: until you ask us to stop.
  • Analytics data: as set by Google and LinkedIn, typically 2 to 14 months.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete it
  • Stop using it, or limit how we use it
  • Give you a copy in a usable format
  • Stop sending you marketing

Cookies

Our site uses cookies from Google Analytics (to see how the site's used) and the LinkedIn Insight Tag (to measure our LinkedIn ads). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Anything significant, we'll say so on this page.
